A three-alarm fire broke out in downtown Boston, Massachusetts this past Wednesday morning at a five-story brownstone condominium building on Commonwealth Avenue.
According to Boston fire officials, the blaze was sparked by a radiant heater that was mounted to a fourth-floor ceiling.
Firefighters from the Boston Fire Department responded to the scene after 911 calls and opened up the building’s fourth-floor ceiling to get at the fire.
The fire ravaged the upscale Back Bay condo that was home to about five people. Only one person was home at the time of the fire accident, and the resident successfully evacuated the building.
No one was injured in the fire accident.
The fire is estimated to have caused over $5 million in property damage.
