Arsonist in 2009 Fires That Killed Father and Son Due in Court This Week.

Anthony Baye, 27, of Northampton, Massachusetts, is due in Hamden Superior Court this Tuesday to face charges for the series of fires he allegedly set back in 2009, one of which killed a father and son.

According to Massachusetts authorities, Baye set a series of fires on December 29, 2009, one of which claimed the lives of Paul Yeskie Sr., 81, and Paul Yeskie Jr., 39.

Baye faces 42 criminal charges for allegedly setting the fires, including numerous counts of arson and two counts of murder. Baye’s lawyers have indicated that they will be asking for the charges to be dismissed for lack of evidence.

Trial in Baye’s case is scheduled to begin in May of this year.
